Although the party has [[Marxism|Marxist]] origins, employing the [[Revisionism|revisionist]] strategy of "revolutionary parliamentarism," it is in fact [[Reformism|reformist]] and indeed largely [[Social democracy|social democratic]] and [[Anti-communism|anti-communist]]. The party supports Ukraine in [[2022 Russo-Ukrainian conflict|its conflict]] with Russia, proclaiming "Russia's invasion is an illegal war of aggression," and has called for military aid to Ukraine since 2023.
