Warren Gamaliel Harding (November 2, 1865 – August 2, 1923) was a Statesian politician who served as the 29th president of the United States from 1921 until his death in 1923. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as a Senator for Ohio from 1915 to 1921, and unsuccessfully attempted to become Governor of Ohio in 1910.

Harding became the Republican candidate due to a deadlock between more credible candidates, and won the presidency in a landslide after running on a campaign return to normalcy after the First World War. Although popular whilst he was alive, after his death new revelations made his administration notorious for extreme corruption, most notably the Teapot Dome scandal, the biggest Statesian political scandal prior to Watergate.[1]
