BadEmpanada is an Australian-Argentine YouTuber. He makes long-form video essays about history, settler colonialism, imperialism, Latin American politics, and other topics[1] from a communist perspective. BadEmpanada also has a stream clips channel and an inactive Spanish language channel.

BadEmpanada argues that the Holodomor, while certainly a major catastrophe for which the Soviet government (led by Joseph Stalin) deserves a great deal of blame, was not a genocide orchestrated with the intent to murder Ukrainians; but rather a failure of government policy. BadEmpanada blindly criticises AES projects such as China calling it "capitalist", "imperialist" and "communist in name only."[4]
Pro-imperialist talking points
In 2024, BadEmpanada opposed the democratically elected anti-imperialist government of Venezuela, siding with the Zionist[5] opposition instead.[6] He also chose to support the 2024 color revolution[7] in Bangladesh.[8] His video criticizing The Grayzone has earned the approval of notorious anti-communist and Bellingcat-founder Eliot Higgins.[9]
