The Canadian Commie is a Canadian YouTube channel managed by a talentless hack by the name of Jon Michael Sanderson (born 6 January 1983) which claims to "provide political commentary from a communist perspective."[2] He uploads low-effort slop content (usually in the form of 3 hour-long livestreams) on an irregular basis.
The show generally consists of Sanderson mindlessly pontificating about video games, films, current events, or just whatever he saw on Reddit that day. He is a willfully ignorant moron who clearly hasn't read much theory (making ridiculous claims such as "Marx believed that labour is the source of all value"), couldn't point to most countries on a map, and will continue to double-down on his utterly braindead assertions even when shown evidence demonstrating that he's a clueless arsehat. In this respect, Sanderson is comparable to figures such as Destiny and Vaush, only without the massive cult following.
Sanderson allows people to spread homophobic and transphobic views in his chat near-unabated, but he will not grant that same courtesy to anyone who dares question his own bigoted views. In addition, he has expressed sympathy for reactionary figures such as Jordan Peterson, Vaush (when Vaush accidentally showed child porn on his livestream), and Dave Chappelle (when Chappelle was receiving backlash for his transphobia); as well as for reactionary crusades such as the anti-vaccine movement and the Freedom Convoy.
