How to learning the word for Brazil(巴西)

Caveats: you must first learn pinyin and HSK1 before you follow this lesson. Write the following flashcards into your anki or you physical SRS flashcards

Front:

Back:

F: 巴西(Bāxī )meaning

B: Brazil

F: 巴西(Brazil)pinyin

B: Bāxī

F: 巴西(baxi)tone

B: Bāxī (Brazil)

Why did I add 'Brazil' to this card? Writing in reminders, pictures and sentences makes learning easier by connecting new knowledge to old knowledge. Learning is not like putting a bunch of books on a shelf. Learning is like a jigsaw puzzle. All knowledge is built off of connections to prior knowledge. If you already know the characters 巴 and西 like I do, I recommend you instead write something like

F: 巴西meaning

B: Bāxī Brazil

F: 巴西pinyin

B: Bāxī Brazil

In addition to these 2 or 3 flashcards, add 2-3 of the following flashcards,

F: 巴西人很好。

B: Bāxī rén hěn hǎo. Brazilian people are very nice/good.

A: 我要去巴西。meaning?

B: Wǒ yào qù Bāxī. I want to go to Brazil.

A: 我喜欢巴西咖啡。pinyin?

B: Wǒ xǐhuan Bāxī kāfēi. I like Brazilian coffee.
