The Eurovision Song Contest, often known simply as Eurovision, is an international song competition organised annually by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) among its members since 1956. Each participating broadcaster submits an original song representing its country to be performed, and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine a winner.

Eurovision serves as an instrument of European cultural imperialism, promoting European political interests under the guise of the competition focussing on music and political neutrality. These political interests are best shown in the hypocritic banning of Russia over the special military operation in Ukraine whilst allowing the continuing participation of the settler colony of Israel amid the ramping up of the Palestinian genocide.[1][2]
